L’Oréal Pureology Shampoo and Conditioner

So here goes my first proper review blog post………

I’ve decided to start with a haircare post – after all it is our crowning glory

Let me start by saying my poor hair has been through the absolute wars over the years. I have had everything from perms (shudders) to bleaching and everything in between. My hair takes a battering on a daily basis – if its not straightening its curling or on my ‘not leaving the house’ days its thrown up into a hun bun! Its also coloured and coloured over again and again – yes I have lots of greys!

After years of abusing my hair and colouring at home (I know I know) I decided to treat myself and have it properly cut and coloured in a local very reputable salon and this is where I decided its time to start treating my tresses with more loving care. The quest to find the best shampoo and conditioner was on!

I googled, instagrammed, read blog posts on the best brands for looking after coloured damaged hair and finally hit on this brand. Now Im not discrediting the other top brands out there but these just seemed to fit the bill for me so off I went purchase.

The Pureology range is available online but I wanted to speak with a hairdresser to see which products in the range would be best suited to my hair type.

The range includes shampoo, conditioner and treatments for all hair types – Pure Hydrate, Pure Volume, Pure Smooth are just some of them. All are colour safe, Made with natural extracts, sulphate free, and 100% Vegan. This is information I got from their website

Created especially for professional colourists and their clients, Pureology is a salon
haircare brand unlike any other. Our highly concentrated ZEROSULFATE® shampoos and
the exclusive ANTIFADECOMPLEX® help colour-treated hair retain its fresh-from-the-salon
vibrancy with every use, while our 100% VEGAN, Dual Benefit Formulas provide custom
care for every hair type

The duo I opted for is Pureology Strength Cure based on some information I gave to the very helpful hairdresser I spoke with in the salon. My hair as I’ve already said has suffered years of damage and breaks so easily.

I have been using both the shampoo and conditioner for the last four weeks and I can honestly say the difference in the condition of my hair is nothing short of a miracle (for me anyway). My hair no longer lacks shine or body. It is glossy and healthy and 100% stronger – I used to shed handfuls of hair while I was washing it but now barely a few strands (which means less blocking the plughole :)). It smells fab and my hair still looks great on day two after washing – who has time for perfecting a blowdry everyday.

Now onto the dreaded mention of cost…….Yes this is a spendy one but definitely worth it as you only need to use the smallest amount of both the shampoo and conditioner so I know this will last me ages. I will 100% repurchase this.

I purchased both products from my local Peter Mark salon, the shampoo cost €18 with the conditioner costing €22.50. You can purchase all the Pureology range in the salon or from their website. I have found them cheaper online Here
