No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Oil

IMG_0894

Hey everyone,

Ok, hands up, who enjoys taking their makeup off after a long day???

I am the first to admit that I love applying my makeup and will quite happily take as long as necessary for it to look how I want it to. But….. when it comes to taking it all off again, especially when I just want to crawl into bed, I want it to be as quick and easy as possible!

And this is where this little beauty comes in – The No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing oil

This is the first and only oil cleanser I have used. It is a one stop, cleanse off everything product. I have used it to remove both heavy full coverage foundations, I’m talking Estee Lauder Double Wear, and barely there foundation like MAC Next to Nothing and neither was a match for this hero of a product! I will admit though that I do prefer to remove my eye makeup seperatley only because I have sensitive little peepers and prefer to stick with a bi-phase product for specifically removing eye makeup (hello tough to remove Inglot gel liner)

The product is described as a lightweight luxurious oil that helps dry skin behave like normal skin – I will state that i do not have particularly dry skin, probably normal/combination. It contains, among other ingredients, rosehip oil and is enriched with vitamin E to help protect and hydrate. Like all No7 products it is hypo-allergenic meaning it is kind to even the most sensitive skin.

The packaging: The oil is contained in a pump style bottle, handy for controlling the flow of the product and seeing when your running outIMG_0903

Directions for use: Dispense 2-3 pumps onto dry hands and massage over your dry face, eyelids and lashes. Once the makeup has dissolved rinse away with warm water. As you begin to rinse the oil will transform into a milk leaving no oily residue just perfectly clean skin.

I must say that my personal favourite way to use this oil is to apply as directed but I use a cleansing mitt to gently buff away the oil/makeup and follow with a gentle exfoliation just to make sure that there is no residue left on my skin. I use the Pennys/Primark Come Clean Mitt which you can pick up in your local store, they come in a pack of three for €3 and have a fluffy side for cleansing and a buffing side for gentle exfoliation!

My face is left squeaky clean ready for application of my night cream, serum or mask. The picture below is my mitt after just removing all my makeup!IMG_0899

You can purchase the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Oil for €15 in your local Boots store or online at boots.ie and most of the time it is on offer as part of their 3 for 2 plus keep an eye out for their vouchers which they run often and gives €6.50 off the No7 Skincare range!

Tell me in the comments if you have found your holy grail cleanser, whether you prefer an oil type or something else?

If you’re on the hunt for a new cleanser or just one that will remove your makeup quickly I hope you found this post helpful 🙂

  1. Great post, thanks for sharing! I have to admit I can be the WORST about actually taking my makeup off in the evening and most often my evening skincare routine is a Superdrug’s Finest Baby Wipe! This definitely wouldn’t take much longer though and would be so much better for my skin so I’m going to have to invest!

    Keep it up, lovely!

    1. Awh thank you x. Glad you got something from it. Honestly I was the worlds worst at taking off my makeup for years and always wondering why my skin was in such bad condition. It was either baby wipes or even not bothering to remove it at all!!! I refuse now to go to bed with makeup on even if it means removing it at 3am after a night out. This stuf is just so quick and handy!
