Hey everyone! Another month over, where is this year going! Anyway this post is all about my experience with some of the Pixi range. Yes I am probably the last person on the planet to try products from Pixi! #Spoiler… I am raging I did not try them sooner! Read on to find out how I got on…..

Pixi / Carloine Hirons Double Cleanse €33

Pixi /Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse

Ok so this stuff is magic end of story! No, in all seriousness I am blown away by how good this is. If you have read my previous post here on the No7 Cleansing oil you will know I am a big fan of oil cleansers but this is so much more.

It is a two step cleansing product consisting of a solid cleansing oil and then a further cleansing cream.

Pixi Beauty Review
Left: Solid Cleansing Oil / Right: Cleansing Cream

As you can see mine is well used :).

Step 1: You use a coin sized amount of the solid cleansing oil applying it to dry skin. As you apply it literally melts onto your skin lifting all your makeup as you go. It is so gentle yet tough enough to remove all of your eye makeup aswell. I usually use a separate eye makeup remover but with this there is no need. It doesn’t sting or irritate my eyes. You then simply use a facecloth / cleansing mitt and warm water to remove all traces of the oil and makeup from your skin.

Step 2: Just to make sure your skin is squeaky clean you move on to the cream cleanse. I apply this like I would apply a moisturiser, applying it over dry skin. I then take my facecloth or cleansing mitt and wash it off completely just like the oil cleanser. My face is left feeling spotless but soft and smooth.

This is my first double cleanse product and I honestly love it. I was never one for double cleansing my skin, always just used regular cleanser and toner. But this has really changed my cleansing routine now I realise my skin was never properly cleansed! It is also handy for travelling as you have an all in one product for removing all your makeup without having to worry about messy liquid spills or airline allowances.

Pixi Glow Tonic 250ml €23.50

Pixi Beauty review
Pixi Glow Tonic

Ok hands up who uses a toner regularly? I only started using one regularly last year as to be honest I wasn’t sure if I needed to. This however is so much more than just a regular toner.

First of all it is alcohol free which means it is not as drying as your normal everyday toner. It contains 5% glycolic acid which helps to exfoliate and purify the skin.

From the Pixi website:

  • Ginseng improves circulation and energizes
  • Aloe vera soothes and hydrates
  • Gently accelerates cell renewal to reveal a brighter, glowing complexion
  • Balances, heals and soothes for radiant, healther looking skin
  • Suitable for all skin types

I have been using Pixi Glow Tonic over the last few weeks and can honestly now say that it has improved how my skin looks and feels. My skin is definitely brighter and it feels so much softer and more hydrated.

To apply: Simply soak a cotton pad with Pixie Glow Tonic and gently sweep across your face and neck

While there is claims that it improves the appearance of pores I cant say that I have noticed as much an improvement there but I think this will come with a more prolonged use of the product. I love how it exfoliates the skin without any scrubby bits – just gently sloughs off dead skin cells with each use. I use this every second day in the evening as part of my cleansing routine

Pixi Vitamin Wake Up Mist 80ml €23.50

Pixi review
Pixi Vitamin Wake Up Mist

This Vitamin Wake Up Mist is mighty impressive from the very first use. If you are looking for a treat for your skin that will boost hydration and appearance then you cant pass this little gem. Orange blossom water blended with skin loving citrus fruit extracts, lavender and arginine will leave your skin feeling cool and refreshed and looking more radiant.

Also listed among the ingredients is Vitamin B3 (Niacinimide) which is a skin booster that helps to tackle the appearance of pores, dullness and fine lines. The lavender and arginine help to soothe the skin and combat environmental damage.

It can be used morning or night or both as an extra boost before applying your favourite day or night cream.

To apply: After giving the bottle a little shake simply close your eyes and spritz over your face and neck. Allow it to soak in (it does quite quickly) before applying the rest of your skincare.

Note: You can also spritz this over your finished makeup or throughout the day for a quick refresh

I like to apply this in the morning and find it most definitely gives my skin a little more luminosity. My skin definitely feels more hydrated and feels so soft.

Pixi Vitamin Wakeup Mist is suitable for all skin types and I think dry skin especially will love this.

Final Verdict: Overall I am very impressed with all these products from Pixi and will continue to use them aswell as repurchase in the future. If you are looking for some new cleansing and skin care then I highly recommend checking out these products.

I purchased all three products from my local Marks and Spencers store, they are also available from their online store or from Cloud10beauty here.
